These pews are 125 years old. They were hand-sanded to bare wool to avoid the use of chemical stripper which could break down lue joints. All repairs were made and hand rubbed, wiping stain was applied followed by two coats of sanding sealer (hand-between coats) and two coats of industrial grade precatalyzed lacquer (also sanded between coats). Pews look like new but they are not. They will last another 25 or more years.
